I awoke on a Sunday morning
with the daylight shining through the window
saw the clouds, cotton-white
and a bright blue set in the background.
Felt the sky smiling at me
and I knew what a good day it′d be
it′s like I was, brand new
and I got up to a happy tune.

As I got up off the bed I thought,
of all the trials in my life
of the fear, and the pain,
and the road to make it back again.
There were times when I thought I couldn′t make it,
just to much to withstand
but the good Lord walking at my side,
showed me the good things in my life.

I will give what I came to give,
I ain′t takin′ it′s all about giving
gotta a new road set before me
life changes and things get better... if you try.

So I′ll run right through the bright green grass
and I′ll smile everyday
it′s what I think I came here for
try to make the world a better place.
Been livin′ for selfish reasons
I guess we do from time to time
if I can see a happy face once a day
it′d be a blessing in disguise.
